Haptic Effects Based On Predicted Contact
US Patent Application 14/717,393, filed May 20, 2015, pending.download pdf
A haptically enabled device has a user interface and generates haptic effects. The device receives an indication of a future contact by a user with the user interface based on an existing contact by the user on the device and, based on the indication, predicts a time and a location of the contact. Based on the prediction, the system determines a responsive haptic effect, and generates the responsive haptic effect using a haptic output device.
